Why You Want A Personal Check

Stock bank checks can do the job quite nicely on their own.  That’s what I always told folks who kept encouraging me to order my own set of custom-designed bank drafts.  Eventually, though, I saw the folly in that and now order a fresh batch almost every month.

Why bother with a personalized check?  Let me count the ways.

1. Ugly, bland and generally boring bank checks cost pretty much the same as a personalized check from an online printer. You don’t save any money when you go with the inferior product, so why do it?

2. Instead of requiring you to waste time transacting with the bank for a set, you can order personal checks online at any ungodly hour and have them delivered to your home.  There’s no hurry and no hassle, with everything done at your convenience.

3. Since ordering a set bearing your company’s likeness doesn’t cost much more than regular bank checks, it’s essentially free marketing you’re not taking advantage of.  What serious business would waste an opportunity like that?

4. It’s a great way to get your kids interested in personal finance.  It’s difficult enough to get kids to do their homework, let alone pay even an iota of attention to financial matters.  A personalized check with their favorite designs emblazoned across the sheets might just make it entertaining for them.
