Thousands Of Check Designs Available And You’re Still Using Boring Bank Checks?

After two years of using personalized checks and being issued mostly the same, I’m just plain not used to seeing bank-issued drafts anymore.  As it turns out, most people – the ones I deal with at least – have similarly realized the value of using personalized checks and are taking advantage of the many benefits they offer.

As such, it leads me to ask: why are you still using boring bank checks?

You can order pretty much any check design you want, from formal-looking checks with standard prints to the fanciest most colorful patterns you can imagine.   If you’re into children’s stuff, you can get personal Disney checks with all your favorite cartoon characters.  If you’re into a specific artist, you can get designer checks bearing their work.  You’re not limited to checks too, you can even order personalized checkbook covers sporting the same designs.

With so much choice for everyone who’s looking for a fresh batch of checks, it really doesn’t make any sense to me why anyone would rather get a generic bank check.  Are you a glutton for bad-looking stuff and inconvenience?

Personalized checks have become the norm, in fact, that even banks are now offering them to their customers.  Of course, it’s even more of a hassle ordering designer checks from a bank than getting their regular stuff, not to mention more expensive.  You see, banks get their designer checks from the same online places where you can place your orders.  When you try to order your fresh batch from a bank, you’re essentially paying them to play middleman – at no extra benefit to you.

If banks are realizing their value, I have to ask again: why are you still using boring bank checks?
