As such, it leads me to ask: why are you still using boring bank checks?

You can order pretty much any check design you want, from formal-looking checks with standard prints to the fanciest most colorful patterns you can imagine.   If you’re into children’s stuff, you can get personal Disney checks with all your favorite cartoon characters.  If you’re into a specific artist, you can get designer checks bearing their work.  You’re not limited to checks too, you can even order personalized checkbook covers sporting the same designs.

With so much choice for everyone who’s looking for a fresh batch of checks, it really doesn’t make any sense to me why anyone would rather get a generic bank check.  Are you a glutton for bad-looking stuff and inconvenience?

Personalized checks have become the norm, in fact, that even banks are now offering them to their customers.  Of course, it’s even more of a hassle ordering designer checks from a bank than getting their regular stuff, not to mention more expensive.  You see, banks get their designer checks from the same online places where you can place your orders.  When you try to order your fresh batch from a bank, you’re essentially paying them to play middleman – at no extra benefit to you.

If banks are realizing their value, I have to ask again: why are you still using boring bank checks?

Do you have personal beliefs that you want to further?  If you want to help spread the word in living green or organic gardening, for instance, you can use personal checks as a platform to broaden people’s awareness.  For instance, I’ve seen many checks during the last year printed with reminders about ecological issues.  I’ve also seen some that encouraged starting a community garden, along with some brief information about how to find more information on it.

Money. What better symbol of financial prosperity is there than pictures of bills?  At the least, it’s a fitting design – images of financial instrument on another financial instrument.  At best, you can feel like you’ve got a whole booklet of cash in your pocket.

Horseshoe. The “U” shape (as with the similarly-shaped half-circle and crescent) is a symbol of good luck in many cultures.  For many folks, it welcomes good fortune while warding off evil

Designer checks can make memorable gifts.  As long as you keep it personal and meaningful to the receiver, there’s no doubt they’re going to appreciate it.

Graduation gifts. For new graduates, how about starting them on the road financial independence with checks that depict money?  Also popular as gifts for young adults are checks with cars, music and sports themes.  How about ordering a batch to make their entry into the workforce a cheerful one?

With so many companies offering personal checks online, a varied selection isn’t too much to ask for.  If a printer doesn’t offer exactly what you need, it isn’t too difficult to find someone else that does.  A private printer who carries a wide range of styles and designs is usually a sign of a business that looks to serve its customers to the best of their ability.

Security

Security is a big issue for any online transaction.  You’ll be sending out your personal information over a mess of wires and digital signals, after all.  Before ordering, make sure the site you’re using employs SSL encryption to protect your transaction from malicious parties.

Customer Service

Does the private printing company offer a telephone line that you can call when you experience a problem with the personal checks you ordered?  If they don’t, it might be in your best interest to order somewhere else instead.  Always do your transactions with web sites that offer plenty of contact information in tow.
